New year / New audition phase.

For those who like circus, and want to become a professional artist or improve there skills, this is a lifetime opportunity.

Dr. Marco Bortoleto from University of Campinas Brasil is the responsable of the most prolific circus study group of the world. In the mext 28th of March he will join our core of teachers to give a new prespective of how to look to the circus pedagogical challenge and modernize it.

Dominique Loignon (Cirque du Soleil) visited yesterday SALTO gathering in meetings and on trainings with some of the coaches and directores.
After the amazing training week in May 2016 (with Alexey Karuline and Caitlan Maggs) and the scout visit in March 2017 (with Dmitry Belyakov) this was the 3rd time Cirque du Soleil came to Acro Clube da Maia.
It was a fruitful day where it was possible the exchange knowledge and experiences that will certainly help us grow in quality and that deepened the relationship between SALTO and Cirque du Soleil.

Jessica Correia, gymnast from Acro Clube da Maia, is going to join Cirque du Soleil to participate in the show VAREKAI.

She is going for a 20-day rehearsel period and general preparation in Montreal, Canada, gathering the troup in Northern Europe shows in the begining of September.
After 9 years of high level gymnastics training where she participated in 2 World Championships finals and having been Nº1 in World Ranking in Trios in 2016 (along with her teammates Susana Pinto and Joana Patrocínio), she we fullfiling her biggest dream and will be the first portuguese Acrobatic Gymnast to join Cirque du Soleil. Well done to her, to her coaches Lourenço França, Úrsula Martins and João Ferreira (all of them SALTO teachers) and her family and friends. Best luck to you JESSICA. We'll miss you!

Exciting times for SALTO with the creation of a collaboration with Cirque du Soleil.
The world greatest Circus company and Acro Clube da Maia and SALTO just enter a new stage of collaboration.

Already decided is the arrival of 3 Cirque du Soleil coaches and artistic directors to help in develop our students and teachers for a full week of hard work in the end of October and begining of November.

What an amazing opportunity for all SALTO students to learn and progress with the very best. Can't wait to have them here!
